Alright, I asked a friend of mine Chris (Irony, I know) who goes by Fe@rless here on the forums if he would be interested in picking up Spy's old Price Guide idea. So I consulted with Spy and he ran with it. We now have the results here for all or you:
MTG Price Guide - Standard 2008
Discuss.
I see a few problems
first, the name is a misnomer, you have to do this after a set is added to Standard and probably more often that that for this to be worthwhile
second, our sponsor isn't featured in the left column, advertise our sponsor, that's why they call it a sponsor
I would also generally put the more popular cards (that is, the cards that are played more) higher on the list, which I do not think this is sorted by, the order to this seems random
also, the prize for our next front page contest should be a Tarmogoyf
I'm being serious here

We'll take this into consideration.
However, our sponsor, ABUGames.com, is listed.
not in the left-most column
Why a Tarmogoyf? It rolls out soon. Iunno maybe your right, that would still be really cool.. Except I'm not going to win.. Whatever, someone else here deserves one still =D

because it will be a Vintage/Legacy staple forever
I could have said a playset, but at that point a box of Shards of Alara would probably be more affordable as a prize
Yeah OK, I guess I'll accept one then =D
2 Goyf's will likely cost more than a box, I mean Lord, they are ridiculous.
Of course, I wasn't playing when Future Sight came out, and missed pulling them in packs or boxes, so now I get to hope they print again, since it was Futureshifted and all.
well, until you count shipping, then the two Tarmogoyfs are likely about the same or cheaper
also note when Shards of Alara comes out, if you want a contest, you start it about three weeks before the set comes out so you can have the box ready for the winner (or however you decide to distribute the prizes)
